주제를 정해 글을 세 개씩 묶어서 쓰니 재미있네요.

재료 좋고 맛도 좋고 포장도 예쁜 비스킷을 생산하는 영국의 <아티잔 비스킷츠Artisan Biscuits> 사의 아이들용 과일맛 쇼트브레드입니다. 이 브랜드는 홍차인들이라면 다들 잘 아실 거예요. 쇼트브레드뿐 아니라 짭짤한 치즈 비스킷으로 유명해 애주가들한테도 잘 알려져 있고요.

쇼트브레드를 사실 때는 "all-butter"라는 문구가 있는지 확인하시고, 성분표에서 버터 함량이 높은지도 확인하십시오. 영국은 우유가 펑펑 나는 나라라서 버터를 아낌없이 씁니다. 이천원도 안 하는 수퍼마켓 저렴한 자사 상표 쇼트브레드에도 버터가 막 30% 가까이 들어가고 그럽니다.

네 종류 다 맛있는데 이 중에서 저는 맨 처음에 올린 '메리와 아가 양' 복숭아맛 쇼트브레드를 가장 좋아합니다. 심지어 빈 과자 봉지에서도 진하고 생생한 복숭아+버터 향이 나 향이 사라질 때까지 하루 종일 빈 봉지를 코에 붙이고 킁킁거리며 행복해하곤 합니다. (꽈당) 

 

쇼트브레드는 영국의 전통과자 아닙니까?

어른용 쇼트브레드, 아가용 쇼트브레드가 따로 나온다니 재미있죠.

어릴 때부터 이런 질 좋고 맛있고 포장 예쁜 과자를 먹고 자라면 얼마나 좋을까요? 

 

그나저나,

과자와 쵸콜렛 사 먹는 데 한달 용돈 다 탕진하는 중년 여성이라니

과자 글 올릴 때마다 나잇값 못 하는 것 같아 부끄럽긴 합니다만;;

잘 만든 과자는 잘 만든 음악과 같아서 기록을 남겨 기릴 필요가 있습니다. 

부끄러워도 꿋꿋하게 과자 글 올려보겠습니다.

거듭 이야기하지만,

안 먹고 살아도 그만인 과자, 그렇기에 반드시 맛있어야 합니다. ■
