아이들을 위한 복음성가 - 샌디 패티와 친구들 (Sandi Patti and The Friendship Company) (1989) 본문
어린이날을 맞아 아이들을 위한 노래를 몇 곡 소개합니다. 미국의 CCM 가수 샌디 패티의 <샌디 패티와 친구들Sandi Patti and The Friendship Company>(1989) 수록곡들로, 크리스찬 대중음악계의 그래미 격인 도브상을 수상한 명반입니다. 대학 초년생 시절에 즐겨 들었었습니다. 미국은 아이들을 위한 복음성가도 이렇게 완성도가 높구나, 놀라워했었죠. 가수도 뛰어나지만 혼 섹션brass instruments 동원해 부른 것 좀 보세요. 작곡과 편곡도 훌륭하고요.
‘아름다운 발Beautiful Feet’에서는 구약 성경 이사야서에 있는 구절 “좋은 소식을 전하며 평화를 공포하며 복된 좋은 소식을 가져오며 구원을 공포하며 시온을 향하여 이르기를 네 하나님이 통치하신다 하는 자의 산을 넘는 발이 어찌 그리 아름다운가”를 아이들이 이해하기 쉽도록 다음과 같이 바꿔 부릅니다.
“성경에 '발'에 관한 이야기가 다 있는 거 알고 있었니? 뛰어놀기도 하고 도망가기도 하는 발, 이기든 지든 달리기 하기 좋아하는 발, 통통한 발, 작은 발, 공 차는 발, 오리발 신고 유유히 헤엄치는 발, 꺽다리 나무 척척 타는 발, 행복한 발, 슬픈 발, 아파 죽겠는 발, 산도 오르고 계단도 오르는 발, 신발 신은 발, 맨발, 온갖 모양 온갖 크기의 발이 있지만 복음을 전하러 오는 발, 평화를 알리러 오는 발, 예수님이 너와 나를 사랑하신다는 기쁜 소식을 갖고 달려오는 발이 아름다운 발이지!”

8 네 파수꾼들의 소리로다 그들이 소리를 높여 일제히 노래하니 이는 여호와께서 시온으로 돌아오실 때에 그들의 눈이 마주 보리로다
9 너 예루살렘의 황폐한 곳들아 기쁜 소리를 내어 함께 노래할지어다 이는 여호와께서 그의 백성을 위로하셨고 예루살렘을 구속하셨음이라
10 여호와께서 열방의 목전에서 그의 거룩한 팔을 나타내셨으므로 땅 끝까지도 모두 우리 하나님의 구원을 보았도다
11 너희는 떠날지어다 떠날지어다 거기서 나오고 부정한 것을 만지지 말지어다 그 가운데에서 나올지어다 여호와의 기구를 메는 자들이여 스스로 정결하게 할지어다
12 여호와께서 너희 앞에서 행하시며 이스라엘의 하나님이 너희 뒤에서 호위하시리니 너희가 황급히 나오지 아니하며 도망하듯 다니지 아니하리라
